……Petitioner.

Mr. Sumanta Chakraborty

Ms. Dhriti Das

Ms. Tanisha Parua

……for the Petitioner.

Mr. Rajendra Bera

….for the State.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits he is aged 58 years and has been detained in custody for 1 year 10 months. Only 1 witness till date has been examined and he has been foisted with a criminal case for other reasons.

State has opposed the prayer for bail.

I have taken into account the medico legal examination report of the victim girl and also considered the period of detention of the present petitioner. Records reflect that for several dates other witnesses are not appearing after PW 1 was examined.
