Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that there has been no progress in the case pursuant to the earlier rejection of bail in CRM (NDPS) 230 of 2026 on 11.02.2026. However, a co-accused of this case approached before this court in CRM (NDPS) 1590 of 2026 and vide order dated 12.08.2026, this court was pleased to observe that there has been no change of circumstances and refused the bail. The petitioner complains that he is in custody for one year nine months and out of the 11 witnesses, one witness has been examined partly.

Having considered the direction already passed, let a fresh direction be made upon the learned Special court that within the three months from the next date fixed, the evidence of the independent seizure list witnesses be completed. At this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. The petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period of three months is over. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS)

of is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Report submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
