Order

(Per Court)

1. On 24.09.2026, we had passed the following order: “1. Leave is given to the Petitioner to delete the Vice-Chancellor. Deletion to be carried out within five days.

2. The Petitioner claims to be a social worker. His educational qualifications have not been mentioned in the pleadings, though in paragraph 2, he has claimed to be an educationist. On this count alone, the Petition could have been dismissed.

3. We are granting the Petitioner an opportunity to state his qualifications, supported with attested copies of the degree certificates that he has and a statement in the Affidavit in support of such documents as to whether he is employed, whether he is self-employed, whether there are any cases pending against him in any Police Station etc. If such Affidavit is not filed by the Petitioner, this Petition would be dismissed without further hearing. Let such Affidavit be filed on or before October 3, 2026.

4. List this Petition on October 5, 2026 in the Urgent Supplementary Board. We would test the bona fides of the Petitioner and the point of maintainability of this PIL.”

2. Today, learned advocate for the Petitioner has tendered a Supplementary Affidavit along with several documents. We have gone through each of the documents that he has shown to us, by turning over page after page in the Supplementary Affidavit.

3. We expressed our disinclination after considering the entire record qua the Prayers that have been made in the petition.

4. Learned advocate for the Petitioner submits, on instructions, that the Petitioner desires to withdraw this Petition.

5. In view of the above, this Petition is dismissed as withdrawn, on instructions.
