1. The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging unlawful disconnection of electricity line at her premises where she claims to be residing with her son, on the basis of her marital dispute with other residents of the premises.
2. Allegedly, it is due to the domestic dispute between the parties, the electricity connection over her premises has been disconnected at the instance of the other residents of the premises.
3. The petitioner claims that electricity has been disconnected with effect from 2025 whereas according to the respondent authority since from 2015, electricity of the said premises has been disconnected.
4. Be that as it may, it appears from the record that till now the petitioner has not made any prayer for new connection of electricity over the premises, where she claims to be in settled occupation.
5. Hence, let the writ petition be disposed of directing the respondent authority to consider grant of electricity connection, in case the petitioner files an application before it for grant of new connection and within a period of ten days from the date of her filing application for grant of new connection before the respondent authority, if any.
6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, WPA No. 20229 of 2026 is disposed of.
7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
