1. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 7 months. Charge-sheet and supplementary charge-sheet has already been submitted and charges have already been framed and two (02) witnesses have been examined out of twenty-nine (29) cited in the charge-sheet. There is no possibility of the trial being concluded in the near future. As such, the petitioner may be released on bail as he is similarly placed as the other accused person who has been granted bail in CRM (M) 1374 of 2026.

2. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there were communications between Moloy

2 Manna and a motor-cycle and Rs. 45,000/- were recovered at the behest of the present petitioner.

3. I have taken into account the complicity of the present petitioner.

4. Having regard to the fact that the petitioner is more or less similarly situated as Moloy Manna who has been granted bail in CRM (M) 1374 of 2026, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail considering the issue of parity as well as parity of detention.

5. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner, namely, Prasanta Mondol @ Gopi is allowed on the same terms and conditions as was imposed in the case of Moloy Manna in CRM (M) 1374 of 2026.

6. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1927 of 2026 is disposed of.

7. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record.

8. All parties shall act in terms of the server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
