Sl.35 28.09.2026 Court No.6 BP C.O. 3394 of 2026

Tanushree Mitra alias Bhattacharjee -versus- Anjan Kumar Mitra

Mr. Partha Chakraborty Ms. Debanjali Payra ..for the petitioners

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that in spite of repeated directions passed by this Court to dispose of the matrimonial suit expeditiously, repeated adjournments have been granted on the prayer of the husband/opposite party. From the ordersheets appended to this application this Court finds that 19th November, 2026 is fixed for defence evidence which shall be treated as the last opportunity. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to issue notice upon the opposite parties. However, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite parties or upon the learned advocates representing them before the learned Trial Judge. In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, C.O. 3394 of 2026 stands disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, 1st Court at Alipore to make an endeavour to

2 dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 69 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible but preferably within a period of six months from the next date fixed without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties keeping in mind the repeated directions passed by this Court for expeditious disposal of the matrimonial suit and also taking note of the fact that the suit is a matrimonial suit pending from the year 2014. There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
