1. The appeal is directed against judgment and order dated 4th March, 2024 passed by a Single Bench of this Court.

2. By the impugned order, the Single Bench refused to interfere with an order dated 9th June, 2017 passed by the respondent. The claim for compassionate employment of the appellant was rejected.

3. The principal ground urged before the Single Bench was that the details of calculation of the pension being enjoyed by the family of the petitioner on account of the service of his father was not appropriately set out in the impugned order.

4. This Court is in complete agreement with the views of the Single Bench that an administrative order, does not have to mention every minor detail and particulars as long as it is informed with reasons.

5. In any event it is now far to well-settled that compassionate employment is not a regular source of employment. It is not a matter of right. It is an exception. It is aimed to prevent the family of a deceased employee from falling into penury and starvation.

6. The family of the appellant, upon death of the sole bread winner is receiving pension. By no stretch of imagination can it therefore be construed that the family would have been rendered into starvation or penury by reason of the death of the sole bread winner.

7. In that view of the matter, the impugned order dated 4th March, 2024 calls for no interference.

8. FMA 565 of 2024 shall stand dismissed.

9. Consequently, CAN 1 of 2025 shall also stand dismissed.

10. There shall be no order as to costs.

11. All the parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
