1. The petitioner is aggrieved that his application for grant of new electricity line submitted before the respondent authority back in the year 2022 is yet to be acted upon by the said authority.

2. Hence, this writ petition is filed to seek appropriate relief.

3. Learned advocates appear for the respective petitioner, respondent authority as well as the private respondent.

4. Mr. Debanjan Mukherjee, learned advocate for the respondent authority has informed that to provide the electricity connection as per application of the writ petitioner, the authority has to raise four PCC poles, three of which has already been constructed.

5. The authority has to further carry through the poles as stated above, the low tension electricity line to execute the work.

6. T he private respondent no. 6, who is represented in the instant case has objected to installation of any electricity line over the poles already standing over plot no. 82, of which the private respondent says, that he is the owner.

7. There is no material on record to show that any of the poles erected or contemplated to be erected by the respondent authority crosses the plot of land owned by the private respondent as above.

8. In such circumstances, the Court finds it proper to dispose of the present writ petition directing the respondent authority to immediately conclude the ancillary works by erecting the rest of the pole/poles for providing electricity connection to the present petitioner as prayed for by him, subject to fulfilment of all necessary conditions by the present petitioner in this regard.

9. Let it be mentioned that the respondent authority shall be at liberty to take police help, if necessary to grant electricity connection to the premises of the present petitioner at the cost of the petitioner himself.

10. With the aforesaid observations and directions, WPA No. 25855 of 2026 is disposed of.

11. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
