1. This writ petition is pending since the year 2009.

2. Lastly, the matter was listed in the month of June, 2009 and after that, the matter was referred before the National Lok Adalat in the year 2017. None appeared before the National Lok Adalat and it was sent to the next Lok Adalat.

3. From the note of the Calcutta High Court Legal Services Committee dated February, 2018, it transpires that the record could not be enlisted in the National Lok Adalat since thereafter. However, at any point of time, none of the parties appeared before the Lok Adalat Bench nor the matter appeared before the Court.

4. Therefore, this Court is of the view that there is no reason to allow this matter to remain in the list any further.

5. Hence, this writ petition stands dismissed for default.
