In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/ Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in connection with Bhowanipore Police Station Case No. 294 of 2022 dated 12.12.2022 under Sections 120B/170/419/420 of the Indian Penal Code.

……Petitioner.
Mr. Apalak Basu
Mr. Nazir Ahmed
Ms. Sanghamitra Mridha
Mr. Yavik Singhal
……for the Petitioner.
Ms. Arushi Rathore
Mr. Ayan Mitra
……for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is better placed if not similarly placed than the accused who has been granted bail in CRM (M) 1798 of 2026.
State opposes the prayer for bail but is unable to refute the contention that petitioner is similarly placed as the other accused who has been granted bail.
Accordingly petitioner be released on same terms and conditions as was imposed upon Rakesh Mondal in CRM (M) 1798 of 2026.
Accordingly, CRM (M) 2232 of 2026 is allowed.
