1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner retired from service on attaining his normal age of superannuation on 31st October, 2025. He has not yet received his terminal dues till date allegedly because of unnecessary noting made by the school authority in the e-pension portal.

3. The District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Purba Bardhaman requested the school to withdraw the unnecessary noting and forward the e-pension file immediately so that the pension file of the petitioner can be forwarded to the DPPG. The same has not been done till date.

4. Prayer has been made to direct the respondent authorities to take steps for disbursal of the terminal dues of the petitioner.

5. Learned advocate representing the school submits, upon instruction that, the school made the noting as per the records available. If the District Inspector of Schools requests the school to remove the noting, then the school will act accordingly.

6. Learned advocate for the State respondents has produced written instruction forwarded by the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Purba Bardhaman signed on 29th/30th June, 2026. The same is taken on record.

7. From the instruction it appears that the e-pension file of the petitioner is lying before the head of the institution since 1st February, 2026 but the head of the institution is adamant to withdraw the irrelevant noting.

8. As it appears that the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Purba Bardhaman granted an opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties and directed the school to withdraw the noting made in the e-pension portal so that the same can be processed further, accordingly, the head of the institution is directed to take immediate steps to withdraw the unnecessary noting in the e-pension portal so that the pension file of the petitioner can be forwarded to the appropriate authority.

9. The head of the institution shall take steps in the matter at the earliest but positively within a week from the date of communication of this order.

10. Necessary consequential steps shall be taken by all the other respondents to ensure that the petitioner receives his terminal dues without any further delay but positively by 31st December, 2026.

11. It will be open for the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Purba Bardhaman to take necessary disciplinary action against the person responsible for the delay in taking steps for making the pension file of the petitioner ready.

12. The writ petition stands disposed of.

13. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

14. Certified server copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
