15.09.2026 Court No.35. D/L.199. Rakib (Rejected)

CRM (A) 2813 of 2026

In Re: An Application for Anticipatory Bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Islampur Police Station case no. 418 of 2021 dated 12.12.2021 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of the NDPS Act.

And In the matter of : Jamiul Haque

……Petitioner. Mr. Gurudas Mitra Mr. Snehasis Banerjee

……for the State.

Learned advocate appearing for the State has produced the Case Diary. The subject matter of the case relates to alleged recovery of 42 kgs of ganja, the case is of the year 2021 and charge-sheet has been filed in the year 2022. Having considered the fact that the petitioner is evading the process of law for more than four and half years, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. As such, prayer for anticipatory bail in CRM (A) 2813 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.

2 Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
