CRM (A) 2692 of 2026

In re : An Application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023/under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C. in connection with Itahar PS Case No. 706 of 2024 dated 03.12.2024 u/s 420/406/506/34 of the IPC.

In the matter of : Mishbahul Jahan @ Mishu

… Petitioner(s)

Ms. Debangana Dey

… for the petitioner(s)

Mr. Subhajit Chatterjee Ms. Supriya Mahajan

… for the State-respondent(s)

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the present is the case of cash for job scam and the petitioner allegedly took a sum of RS. 10 lakh and failed to provide any job and not returned the money. Having considered the nature of the allegations, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

2 Accordingly, CRM (A) 2692 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
