Arnab Banerjee vs. Khagendranath Roy and others

Mr. Biswaroop Biswas Mr. Pradip Kumar Ghosh ... for the petitioner Mr. Indrajit Roy Chowdhury, AGP Mr. Jaydeipta Mandal ... for the alleged contemnors

Mr. Roy Chowdhury, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the alleged contemnor no.1 who is personally present before this court, has submitted unqualified apologies for not appearing on the appointed day i.e. on 25.08.2026, in spite of the fact that the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Nadia, received the notice from this Court. Mr. Roy Chowdhury has further submitted that the relevant order dated 12th September, 2018 passed in WP 7964(W) of 2018 has been complied with in letter and spirit. In this regard, he has submitted a report of compliance before this Court. Let the same be taken on record. Mr. Biswas, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, has fairly submitted that the order has been complied with yesterday and as such he has no objection if the instant contempt application is disposed of.

2 As the order dated 12th September, 2018 in connection with WP 7964(W) of 2018 is complied with, the contempt application being WPCRC 72 of 2019 is disposed of. The interim order, if any, stands vacated. The personal appearance of the contemnor no.1, Mr. Subhra Kanti Nanda, District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Nadia, is dispensed with.
