1. The petitioner, an Assistant Teacher in a Government Aided Secondary School, has prayed for transfer on general ground of distance. However, the petitioner has not made any application in the prescribed format but, has merely filed a representation, which is pending before the Commission.

2. The representation is of 2024.

3. Due to the long lapse of time, it is possible that the attending circumstances may have changed. The petitioner is, thus, granted liberty to make a fresh application before the School Authority seeking transfer on the ground of distance. The School Authority will deal with such application and issue the requisite certificates including No Objection Certificate within a period of four weeks of making the application by the petitioner.

4. With the afore-stated direction, the writ petition is disposed of and to the afore-stated extent the

connected application being CAN 1 of 2026 is accordingly disposed of.

6. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis.
