Calcutta High Court

In the Circuit Bench at Jalpaiguri

C.R.M. (M) 365 of 2026

In Re:- An application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

And In the matter of : Gulsan Begum & Anr. …. Petitioners

Mr. Nilay Chakraborty Mr. Sourav Lohani …for the Petitioners

Mr. Avrojyoti Das, Ld. APP Mr. Bapi Sarkar Mr. Mayank Bhandari ...for the State

In this application, the petitioners have stated in the application that this is the first occasion when they have moved before this court seeking bail for the petitioners. Learned counsel for the State submits that this is the third time that the petitioners have approached before this court and the aforesaid fact has been suppressed in their application, which itself is a good ground for rejection of their bail prayer. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he wants to withdraw the said application with liberty to file afresh after making necessary correction. In such view of the matter, CRM (M) 365 of 2026 is dismissed as withdrawn. The certified copy of the order of the Trial court may be returned to the petitioners on condition of filing an authenticated copy of the same. (Dr. Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee, J.)
