27.07.2026 Ct. No. 11 SL No.15 Cp CALCUTTA HIGH COURT IN THE CIRCUIT BENCH AT JALPAIGURI

CRM (A) No. 503 of 2026

In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Section 482 of the B.N.S.S. 2023, in connection with Sitalkuchi Police Station Case No. 84 of 2021, dated 11.04.2021, under Sections 341/ 323/ 324/ 325/ 326/396/307/34 of the IPC. And

In the matter of: Sukumar Barman @ Bipul Barman & Ors.

….Petitioners.

Mr. Nilay Chakraborty Mr. Sourav Lohani …for the Petitioners. Mr. Avrojyoti Das, Ld. APP Ms. Rajyashree Ghosh

….. for the State.

The petitioners pray for pre-arrest bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes such prayer. It is submitted by learned APP that some of the petitioners have surrendered before the learned jurisdictional court and have been released on bail. That some of them had approached the court earlier on the self-same issue. Under such circumstances, the application is disposed of without granting pre-arrest bail. The petitioners who have not surrendered shall approach the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
