WPA/25950/2025 of M/S CREATIVE ENGINEERING AND ANR. Vs STATE OF WEST BENGAL AND ORS. on 9 December 2025

1. The matter has appeared in the list under the heading ‘To Be Mentioned’ for correction.

2. In the order dated 2nd December, 2025, two paragraphs will be incorporated after paragraph 9 of the order dated 2nd December, 2025. “10. Having heard the parties, I am of the considered view that since the vehicle owners in general are facing acute problems in getting their e-rickshaw/e-vehicle registered by the respective registering authorities. I, therefore, direct the Transport Directorate, Government of West Bengal to look into the matter and arrive at a logical conclusion in order to tide over the crisis as faced by the vehicle owners across the West Bengal for the purpose of registration.

11. The Transport Department, Government of West Bengal shall issue necessary direction upon all the Regional Transport Officers to grant registration to all the respective vehicles of the manufactures company in order to ease out the problem otherwise, the issue will remain unresolved and will give rise to multiplicity of proceedings.”

3. The order dated 2nd December, 2025 is corrected accordingly. The remaining part of the said order will remain unaltered.

4. Let this order be read along with the order dated 2nd December, 2025.
