1. By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- “This Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire record leading to passing of the impugned order Annexure P/1 dated 19.02.2021 and be pleased to pass the following orders:
(i) To set aside and quash the impugned order dated 19.02.2021 (Annexure P/1) passed by the respondent no. 4.
(ii) To declare that the order and action of respondent no. 3 and 4 in dissolving the managing committee / governing body of the school and appointment of administrator as illegal, without jurisdiction and authority of law.
(iii) Any other relief which this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case.
(iv) That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to award the cost of the petition to the petitioner.”
2. It appears that on the last date of hearing, i.e. on 20.08.2026, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Today also, when the case is called out, none appears on behalf of the petitioner, nor is any representation made on his/her behalf to press the petition.
3. From perusal of the order dated 19.02.2021, it appears that the Managing Committee of the school was dissolved for a limited period, until completion of the enquiry, and a Deputy Collector was appointed as Administrator. In view of the efflux of time and the passage of the period for which such arrangement was made, the reliefs sought in the present petition have rendered themselves infructuous.
4. In the circumstances, as none appears on behalf of the petitioner to press the petition, this Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the petition for want of prosecution.
5. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. Sd/-
