1. By way of the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- “10.1 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider the candidature of the petitioner for grant of employment on an appropriate eligible post in lieu of the land acquired in land proceeding case no. 20/A-82/2010-11 at the earliest as per applicable rehabilitation policy along with all consequential benefits. 10.2 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to decide the representation dated: 14.01.2026 and 29.05.2025 preferred by the petitioner within a stipulated time frame. 10.3 The Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other order that may be deemed fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case including awarding of the costs to the petitioner.”
2. At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing the matter on merits. He submits that his limited prayer is that the petitioner has submitted representations seeking grant of employment on the ground that his land has been acquired and, therefore, the respondent authorities may be directed to consider and decide the said representations in accordance with law. He further submits that the petitioner has already submitted representations dated 29.05.2025 and 14.01.2026.
3. Learned State counsel appearing for respondents No. 1, 6 and 7 submits that the representations of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with law.
4. Learned counsel appearing for respondents No. 2 to 5 submits that the representations submitted by the petitioner shall be considered and decided in accordance with law.
5. Heard counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.
6. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, which also emanates from the relief clause of the petition, the concerned authorities are directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner and take an appropriate decision thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. Since the matter has not been argued on merits, the concerned authorities shall consider the representations independently and pass an appropriate order strictly in accordance with law.
8. With the aforesaid directions and observations, the present petition stands disposed of. Sd/-
