1. By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- “1] That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ/writs, direction/directions, order/orders directing the Respondent Authorities to verify the caste certificate of the Respondent No. 3, in timebound manner. 2] That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief(s), which is deemed fit and proper in the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case.”

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the purpose of filing this petition would be served if the concerned respondent authorities may be directed to consider the application filed by the Chief Regional Manager of United India Insurance Company Ltd. on 30.10.2024, addressed to the Verification Committee, Collector Office, District Durg.

3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that the application ought to have been filed before the District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, and perhaps this was the reason why the application has not been considered or decided.

4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have perused the material available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and further considering the fact that the petitioner is directed to file a fresh application before the District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In turn, the concerned authorities are directed to consider the same, decide the same, and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on the merits of the case.

7. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
