1. By way of the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- “10.1 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire records relating to the case of the Petitioner. 10.2 Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction to respondent no.4 to pass final order for the demarcation of land situated at Village Wadrafnagar, Tahsil- Wadrafnagar, District- Balrampur Ramanujganj, (C.G.) bearing, Khasra no. 842/3 total admeasuring 0.14 Hectare land. 10.3 Direct the Respondent no.4 to demarcate the land of petitioner within time bound period. 10.4 Any other relief which Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and cost of the petition.”

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted an application for demarcation of her land bearing Khasra No. 842/3, admeasuring 0.14 hectare. However, despite receipt of the said application and issuance of a memo by the concerned Tehsildar to the Revenue Inspector/Halka Patwari on 23.12.2025, the demarcation proceedings have not yet been initiated or concluded. Hence, being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the concerned authorities, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. Learned State counsel submits that there is a dispute between the parties and, therefore, the concerned Tehsildar has requisitioned police force as is evident from the documents filed by the petitioner. It is submitted that, in view of the aforesaid dispute, there may be difficulty in maintaining peace and tranquillity during the demarcation proceedings.

4. Heard counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

5. Be that as it may, since the application for demarcation has already been submitted and the demarcation could not be conducted for one reason or the other, the concerned authorities are required to take appropriate steps to ensure maintenance of peace and tranquillity. The demarcation proceedings cannot, however, be kept pending merely on the ground that there is a dispute between the parties.

6. Accordingly, the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) and the Tehsildar are directed to conduct the demarcation proceedings in respect of the land of the petitioner by requisitioning adequate police force, if considered necessary and to complete the same in accordance with law within a period of 30 days from the date of production of a copy of this order.

7. The demarcation shall be carried out strictly in accordance with Section 129 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 and the Rules framed thereunder, after issuing due notice to all concerned and interested parties, including the petitioner. All concerned parties shall extend due cooperation in the demarcation proceedings.

8. It is further directed that, in the event any person creates obstruction or takes the law into his/her own hands during the demarcation proceedings, the concerned Tehsildar shall take appropriate action in accordance with law, including lodging of an FIR, if warranted, so as to ensure that the demarcation proceedings are conducted peacefully and without any obstruction. Any obstruction or disturbance caused during the proceedings shall be dealt with in accordance with law.

9. With the aforesaid directions and observations, the present petition stands disposed of. Sd/-
