CGHC010267722017 2026:CGHC:31024 HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH AT BILASPUR CRMP No. 603 of 2017 State Of Chhattisgarh versus Surendra Sahu Order Sheet 21/07/2026 Shri Akhilesh Kumar, Govt. Advocate for the State/petitioner. Heard on an application seeking leave to prefer an appeal against the impugned judgment dated 28/11/2016 passed by Special Judge (under the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act), Jashpur, District Jashpur (C.G.) in Special Criminal Case No.15/15, whereby, the respondent has been acquitted with regard to offence punishable under Section 20(b)

(ii) (B) of the NDPS Act. After considering the statement of the prosecution witnesses placed on record, the petition deserves to be allowed. The petition is, accordingly, allowed and the petitioner is permitted to prefer an appeal against the said impugned judgment. CRMP, thus, stands disposed of.

Kamde Registry is directed to register the case as a regular appeal under the head “Acquittal Appeal” and list the matter thereafter for its admission.
