1. During the course of hearing, Senior Panel Counsel for the Respondents submits that the issue with regard to abrupt stoppage of disability element of the applicant has been resolved, which occurred due to a technical snag by issuing PPO dated 10/6/2026 and arrears of Rs 5,98,917/- has also been paid to the applicant vide Pension Slip for the month of June 2026. In support of their arguments, Respondents have filed a reply- cum-compliance report in this regard on 20/7/2026, which is taken on record. Counsel for the applicant, on the other hand, submits that the issue of stoppage of disability element midway was unwarranted and caused immense hardship and agony to the applicant and, hence, prays for grant of interest/litigation cost of Rs 30,000/- incurred by the applicant for filing the case.

2. Since disability element has been restored for life wef 01/7/2024 to the applicant, this OA has become infructuous and the file be consigned to record. However, we deem it appropriate to direct the Respondents to grant a cost of Rs 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) to the applicant as compensation within a period of two months.
