12th May, 2026 has been filed as Annexure P-2 to the petition.

6. In terms of the settlement a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- was payable by the petitioners to the respondent no.2. Out of the said amount, a sum of Rs.70,000/- has been paid by the petitioners to respondent no.2 and the balance amount of Rs.30,000/- is paid today by way of cash.

7. The respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by the Investigating Officer (‘IO’). He informs the Court that he has settled the matter of his own free will and without any coercion. He further states that he does not wish to pursue the present FIR any further and has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the aforementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

10. Accordingly, the present proceedings under FIR No.497/2023 registered at Police Station Maidan Garhi and all consequential proceedings thereto are hereby quashed.
