2024 which has been annexed as Annexure P-3 to the present petition. In terms of the settlement, a sum of Rs.30,00,000/- has been paid by the petitioners to respondent no.2/complainant as full and final settlement.

5. The respondent no.2 is stated to be in judicial custody and he appears from Tihar Jail through video conferencing and affirms the settlement. He has been identified by the Investigating Officer (‘IO’). He informs the Court that he has settled the matter of his own free will and without any coercion. He further states that he does not wish to pursue the present FIR any further and has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

6. The petitioners are present in Court and have been identified by their counsel and the IO. The petitioners affirm the statement of the respondent no.2 and undertake to abide by the terms of settlement arrived at between the parties.

7. Considering the above settlement between the parties, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR and it would an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the aforementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

8. Consequently, the Fir No.127/2022 registered at Police Station Sunlight Colony and proceedings pursuant thereto are quashed.
