2012. However, the Arbitrator nominated by NHAI passed away on 25.03.2026, as informed to the parties by an order of the Presiding Arbitrator dated 26.03.2026.

3. As the substitute Arbitrator has since been appointed by NHAI on 04.05.2026, Mr. Arjun Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, upon instructions from the petitioner, does not press this petition.

4. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of as not pressed.

5. I am informed that the arbitral proceedings have been ongoing since the year 2012, and are now at the stage of final arguments on behalf of the petitioner herein, which is the respondent in the arbitral proceedings.

6. Having regard to the extraordinary length of the arbitral proceedings, the learned Arbitral Tribunal is requested to ensure that the proceedings are concluded as expeditiously as possible. Learned counsel for the parties assure the Court that they will cooperate in this endeavour.
