1. By way of this petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 [“the Act”], the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal, which has expired on 22.08.2026.

2. Notice was issued in this petition on 19.03.2026. By an order of the Joint Registrar dated 19.08.2026, the petitioner’s application for substituted service was allowed. The order dated 30.09.2026 records that despite service through publication, the respondent had not appeared even on second call. Adverse orders were, however, deferred. The respondent nonetheless remains unrepresented. It appears that respondent does not wish to enter appearance. This is a digitally signed order. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 13/10/2026 at 10:28:05

3. Mr. Samdarshi Sanjay, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the respondent did not enter appearance before the Court in proceedings under Section 11 of the Act, and is also not appearing before the Arbitral Tribunal. The arbitral proceedings were commenced in the year 2024, and respondent was proceeded against ex-parte on 07.05.2024.

4. Mr. Sanjay submits that the proceedings are now at the stage of final arguments, and hearing of an application under Section 17 of the Act is pending. He, therefore, seeks an extension of the mandate for the period of six months from today.

5. In view of the above, the petition, alongwith pending application, is disposed of, with the direction that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended until 31.03.2027.
