1. This hearing has been done through hybrid mode.

2. By way of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR No. 0409/2022, registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, District East, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 341, 354(B), 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code,1860 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘IPC’), and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of the settlement arrived at between the parties.

3. Issue notice.

4. Learned APP for the State as well as learned counsel for respondent nos. 2 & 3, accept notice on behalf of the respective Respondents.

5. The petitioners and respondents no. 2 and 3 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and the Investigating Officer concerned.

6. Brief facts of the case are that the present FIR came to be registered in relation to a brawl having taken place between the petitioners and respondents no. 2 and 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the dispute between the petitioners and respondents no. 2 and 3 has been amicably settled vide Compromise/Settlement Agreement Deed dated 10.09.2026. On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 and 3, who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise, vide Compromise/Settlement Agreement Deed dated 10.09.2026, of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

7. In view of the above, the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

8. Accordingly, FIR No. 0409/2022, registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, District East, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 341, 354(B), 506, and 34 of IPC, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.

9. The present petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of.

10. Copy of the order be communicated to the concerned Trial Court for necessary action and compliance.

11. The order be uploaded on the website forthwith. MADHU JAIN, J SEPTEMBER 30, 2026/b/yt
