1. The petitioner / husband assails an order dated 18.04.2026, passed by learned ASJ-03 (South-East), Saket Courts, Delhi in CA 155/2026, dismissing the appeal against order dated 16.03.2026, passed by the Ld. JMFC (Mahila Court-03), South-East District, Saket Courts, Delhi in CT Case No. 969/2023, which on the respondent’s complaint under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (DV Act) directed him to pay ad-interim maintenance of Rs.50,000/- per month till further orders. The said directions are ad-interim in nature.

2. Admittedly, the application for interim maintenance under Section 23 of the DV Act is still pending.

3. The order dated 16.03.2026 records that as per the salary slip of the petitioner for March, 2024 his last disclosed salary is Rs.3,27,093/- per month. This is a digitally signed order. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 29/09/2026 at 11:01:59

4. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the current salary of petitioner is to the tune of Rs.4,37,397/-. Learned counsel for the petitioner is not in a position to refute the same.

5. Considering the circumstances, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the interim direction/s. However, since the interim maintenance application has been pending for quite some time, the concerned Court is requested to expedite consideration of the same and make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of three months from today.

6. The petitioner is granted four weeks time to pay the arrears of maintenance to the respondent.

7. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.

8. It is made clear that this order shall not be construed as an expression of opinion as regards the merits of the respective case of the parties.
