line, the Petitioner along with other Tehbazari holders were all assured that they would be given alternate sites. Thereafter, fifteen sites are stated to have been allotted in May, 2022 to various Tehbazari holders. However, no site was allotted to the Petitioner. Hence, the prayer in this petition is for allotment of an alternate site.

5. Ld. Counsel for the Respondent-Municipal Corporation of Delhi (hereinafter, ‘MCD’) submits that there has been a delay in allotting the alternate site to the Petitioner.

6. The concerned Assistant Commissioner, MCD i.e., Mr. Manish Kumar is present in Court. He submits that within a period of one month the alternate site would be allotted to the Petitioner.

7. The responsibility of allotment of the alternate site shall be duly undertaken by the said Assistant Commissioner, MCD who is present in Court and in case of any non-compliance, stringent action would be liable to be taken as there has been sufficient delay in this matter.

8. Accordingly, let the alternate site be allotted within one month to the Petitioner. If the Petitioner is not allotted a site within one month, he is at liberty to seek revival of this writ petition.

9. The petition is disposed of. The pending application, if any, is disposed of. PRATHIBA M. SINGH, J. VIKAS MAHAJAN, J. AUGUST 21, 2026 aj/Ck This is a digitally signed order.
