ORDER

Date : 07.09.2026

Heard Shri T. T. Tara, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Shri G. Bam, learned counsel for the applicant.

The instant application has been filed seeking suspension of the Corrigendum Order dated 10.08.2026, passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Upper Subansiri District.

It is the case of the petitioner that in the connected WP(C) No.260(AP)/2026, this Court vide an order dated 16.06.2026 had directed maintenance of status quo. The said interim order was extended on 03.07.2026. However, vide the Corrigendum order dated 10.08.2026, the Deputy Commissioner had come to a finding on facts and held that the claim of the petitioner is absolutely vague and is not valid.

While the Deputy Commissioner may be correct on facts, when an order of status quo has been passed by this Court and is subsisting, such findings could not have been arrived at and transmitted in the form of corrigendum.

In that view of the matter, until further orders, the Corrigendum dated 10.08.2026 is suspended.

Interlocutory application stands disposed of.

Shri Tara, learned Senior Counsel has also informed this Court that in the meantime, a contempt case being Cont.Cas(C) No.29/2026 has been filed wherein notice has been issued.
