3. This interlocutory application has been filed by the Insurance Company praying for condonation of delay of 8 days in preferring the connected MAC Appeal, wherein the judgment and award dated 23.04.2025 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 1, Kamrup (M) in MAC Case No. 963/2016 has been impugned.

4. The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the reason for delay in preferring the connected appeal beyond the prescribed period of limitation has been stated in paragraph No. 4 of the instant application.

5. The learned counsel for the OP No. 1 has submitted that considering the short period of delay, the said OP does not have any objection in condoning the delay.

6. After considering the reason stated in paragraph No. 4 of the instant application to be sufficient cause, which prevented the present applicant in filing the connected MAC Appeal beyond the prescribed period of limitation, the delay of 8 days is hereby condoned and this Interlocutory Application stands allowed.

7. Registry shall register the MAC Appeal and list the same for admission immediately on reopening after Puja vacation.

8. The name of Mr. R Goswami may be reflected in the cause list as engaged counsel for the respondent No. 1.
