The FIR in connection with which the petitioner was arrested on 02.07.2026 was lodged by the police personnel of Dispur Police Station stating inter alia that on an information that some persons are involved in dealing, preparing and circulating the fake Indian Currency Notes, the informant along with the police team intercepted one vehicle and upon searching the same, a black bag pack was found with suspected FICN amounting to Rs. 2,56,000/-. It was also stated in the FIR that the petitioner along with another was found inside the vehicle and they were arrested.
