ORDER

13.10.2026

1. Heard Ms. M. Sahoo, learned counsel appearing for the applicant.

2. By this application, the petitioner has prayed for rectification of the errors in the original criminal revision application being Criminal Revision Petition No. 442 of 2026.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in the cause title of the said revision application it has been inadvertently mentioned that the application was filed under Section 438 read with Section 440 of the BNSS, 2023. However, the same ought to have been mentioned as an application under Section 438 read with Section 442 of the BNSS, 2023. Accordingly, learned counsel prays for correction of the said error. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that in paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 of the body of the petition the dates of the incident have been incorrectly mentioned as 17.05.2024 and 18.05.2024/ 18.05.2026. The correct date of the incident is 17.05.2025 and the FIR was lodged on 18.05.2025. Accordingly, learned counsel prays that the said errors be corrected. She further submits that in paragraph 10 of the petition, the date of the FIR has been erroneously mentioned as 25.05.2026 whereas the correct date is 25.04.2026. The learned counsel submits that the same is a clerical error requiring correction.

4. Upon consideration of the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court deems it fit to allow the instant application. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to file an amended criminal revision petition incorporating the aforesaid corrections.

5. The interlocutory application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
