ORDER

08-10-2026 Heard Mr. S.H. Mehbub, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. G. Hazarika, learned counsel appearing for the respondents No. 1 and

2.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that this is an application praying for inserting a correction in the order dated 10.09.2026 passed in WP (C) No. 4951/2026 where an inadvertent error had been committed by the learned counsel for the petitioner in submitting that the petitioner was posted in Jammu and Kashmir, while actually the petitioner was posted in the State of West Bengal.

3. He accordingly submits that the aforesaid corrections, if incorporated in the order dated 10.09.2026, would not in any manner affect the merit of the orders passed.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents No. 1 and 2 does not object to the corrections proposed.

5. I have seen the records, and I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. The corrections prayed for at para-9 of the order dated 10.09.2026 passed in WP (C) No. 4951/2026 are allowed to the extent that it records that the petitioner is presently posted in Jammu and Kashmir, to be read as the petitioner being posted in the State of West Bengal.

6. Accordingly, paragraph 9 of the aforesaid orders shall now be read as; “9. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is presently posted in West Bengal and, due to the exigency of his service, it may not be possible for him to appear before the Marriage and Divorce Registrar within a short period. It is further submitted that, at the time of filing of the writ petition, the petitioner was on sanctioned leave and thereafter he has now been posted in West Bengal.”

7. I.A. Accordingly disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
