ORDER
08.10.2026
Heard Mr. P.J. Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Addl. P.P. for the State respondent. This petition, under Section 482 of the CrPC, is preferred by the petitioner for setting aside and quashing the FIR of Majuli PS Case No. 27/2022, under Sections 354/506/34 of the IPC read with Section 67 of the IT Act and Section 376 of the IPC. While this matter was listed on 16.09.2026, Mr. Borthakur was directed to produce the case diary. But, today, Mr. Borthakur, learned Addl. P.P. for the State respondent, apprises this Court that the IO has completed investigation and submitted final report having found no case against the present petitioner. Mr. Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that in view of the subsequent development, this criminal petition along with the IA (Criminal) No. 906/2026, which was filed for early disposal of the criminal petition, may be closed. Accordingly, this petition along with the unlisted IA stands disposed of.
