ORDER

06.10.2026

Heard Ms. G. Deka, learned counsel, appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. By this application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 the petitioner, namely, Jahidul Islam, has prayed for pre-arrest bail in connection with Gorchuk P.S. Case No. 212/2026. On 28.08.2026, the petitioner was granted interim protection by this Court directing him to appear before the Investigating Officer. Accordingly, the petitioner has appeared before the Investigating Officer and cooperating in the investigation. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the both sides. Since the petitioner has appeared before the Investigating Officer and cooperating in the investigation, he does not deserve to be detained in custody. Hence, the order dated 28.08.2026 passed by this Court in favour Page No.# 2/2 of the petitioner is made absolute. The bail application is disposed of. Return the Case Diary.
