ORDER
Date : 05.10.2026
Heard Mr. J. M. A. Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. G. Bordoloi, learned Standing Counsel, Cooperation Department, for the respondents.
This is an application praying for impleadment of one Smti. Sanjukta Bhuyan, Senior Inspector of Cooperative Societies, as party respondent No. 4 in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 3072/2026.
The applicant/petitioner has filed the connected WP(C) No. 3072/2026 challenging the transfer and posting order dated 15.03.2026, whereby he has been transferred from Nagaon to Lakhimpur as Senior Inspector of Cooperative Societies.
It is submitted by the learned counsel for the applicant that Smti. Sanjukta Bhuyan, Senior Inspector, has been posted in his place at Nagaon. Since the posting of Smti. Sanjukta Bhuyan was not known to the petitioner at the time of filing of the writ petition, she could not be impleaded as a party respondent in the writ petition and therefore, he submits that the aforesaid Senior Inspector, who has been posted at Nagaon in place of the petitioner, may be allowed to impleaded as respondent No. 4. Having considered that the aforesaid person, namely, Smti. Sanjukta Bhuyan, has been posted at Nagaon in place of the petitioner, and the prayer for impleadment having not been opposed by the learned Standing Counsel, Cooperation Department, I deem it appropriate to allow this application as the party sought to be impleaded appears to be a necessary party in the writ proceedings. Accordingly, Smti Sanjukta Bhuyan, Senior Inspector of Cooperative Societies, is allowed to be impleaded as respondent No. 4, in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 3072/2026. The interlocutory application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
