Crl.A.(J) 116/2026 has been filed by the Legal Aid Counsel Ms. Nayanmoni Kalita on the basis of letter no.GHCLSC-19/2026/1353 dated 29.07.2026 issued by the Secretary, Gauhati Legal Services Committee. The said appeal has been filed against the impugned judgment dated 01.04.2026 passed by the Sessions Judge, Udalguri, Assam, in Sessions (I) Case No.57/2025, by which the appellant has been convicted under Section 103(1) BNS. On the other hand, Crl.A. 339/2026 has been filed by Mr. D.K. Bhattacharyya, learned counsel for the same appellant against the same judgment. As two appeals cannot be allowed to be filed by the same person against the same judgment, we hereby close Crl.A.(J) 116/2026 and the accompanying I.A,(Crl.) 968/2026. Heard Mr. D.K. Bhattacharyya, learned counsel for the appellant in Crl.A.
