ORDER
Date : 24.09.2026 (M. Zothankhuma, J) Mr. J. I. Borbhuiya, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the letter No. FNAC.24/Information Mahal/2016/Pt-I/348-50 dated 08.05.2026, issued by the Conservator of Forests, Northern Assam Circle, Tezpur to the Chief Conservator of Forest(T), Upper Assam Zone, Jorhat, he does not want to press the PIL at this stage, with liberty to file afresh, if a cause of action arises in future. Mr. S. Sarma, learned counsel for the Forest Department and Mr. D. J. Das, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 are present. On the prayer of Mr. J. I. Borbhuiya, the PIL stands closed, as not pressed, with liberty being given, as prayed for.
