ORDER
Date : 12.09.2026
The claimants are present. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, represents the New India Assurance Company Limited, is also present. It has been submitted that the claim has been settled for at a consolidated amount of Rs.62,00,000/-, inclusive of all interest. An amount of Rs.21,06,760/- has already been deposited before the Registry of this Court. The appellant-Insurer shall deposit the remaining amount of Rs.40,93,240/- before the Registry of this Court. Upon an appropriate application being made by the claimants, the settled amount shall be released to them in accordance with Notification No.43 dated 26.06.2020 of this Court.
The appeal is accordingly closed on settlement. The statutory deposit of Rs.25,000/- shall be refunded to the Insurance Company/appellant as per procedure.
