ORDER

Date : 09.09.2026

Heard Mr. P. D. Nair, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr. H. I. Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. B. Choudhury, learned Standing Counsel, APDCL, for respondents.

This is an application praying for impleadment of one Shri Dharendrajit Barman, SDE, Sonai Electrical Sub-Division, CAR, APDCL, as respondent No. 8 in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 4729/2026.

The applicant/petitioner challenges the transfer and posting order dated 12.08.2026, wherein the petitioner, along with other employees, has been transferred and posted in different Electrical Sub-Division, APDCL. By the impugned order dated 18.08.2026, the applicant/ petitioner has been transferred from Udharbond Electrical Sub-Division to Central Stores Division, Silchar, and Shri Dharendrajit Barman, SDE, has been transferred to the applciant’s/petitioner’s earlier place of posting. Having considered above, I am of the considered view that the respondent sought to be impleaded appears to be a necessary party in the connected writ proceedings. Thus, I deem it appropriate to allow this interlocutory application. Accordingly, Shri Dharendrajit Barman, SDE, Sonai Electrical Sub-Division,

CAR, APDCL, is allowed to be impleaded as respondent Nos. 8 in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 4729/2026. The interlocutory application stands disposed of.
