ORDER

17.08.2026

Heard Mr. D. Barman, learned counsel for the applicant; Ms. N. Bordoloi, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue and Disaster Management Department for the opposite party no. 1; and Mr. S.S. Roy, learned Junior Government Advocate, Assam for the opposite party nos. 2 & 3.

2. The applicant as the writ petitioner preferred the accompanying writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 2839/2026. In the writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia sought for a direction to the respondent authorities to decide the composite land sale transfer application filed by the petitioner.

3. In this interlocutory application, it is averred that for the purpose of deciding the accompanying writ petition, presence of the following authority, that is, ‘Sheristadar, Court of Civil Judge [Senior Division] No. 1, Kamrup [Metro], Guwahati’ as party-respondent no. 4 is necessary.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the opposite parties have submitted that they have no objection if the interlocutory application seeking impleadment of the proposed authority as s party-respondent in the accompanying writ petition is allowed.

5. Having gone through the statements and averments made in the instant application, I am of the considered view that the presence of the afore-mentioned authority as the party- respondent no. 4 in the accompanying writ petition appears necessary for adjudication of the issues involved therein.

6. Consequently, the instant interlocutory application seeking impleadment of the party- respondent no. 4 in the accompanying writ petition stands allowed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
