ORDER

12-08-20

26 Heard Mr. N. Zaman, learned counsel for the applicant; and Mr. J. K. Goswami, learned Central Government Counsel, for the opposite parties No. 1, 5 and 6 as well as Ms. M. Barman, learned Government Advocate, Assam for the opposite party No.4.

2. This interlocutory application is preferred by the applicant, who has preferred the accompanying writ petition, WP(C) No. 3486/2026, seeking amendment in the Cause-Title of the accompanying writ petition.

3. It is averred that while filing the writ petition, the opposite parties/respondents were inadvertently numbered as respondent Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the Cause Title. It is stated that due to inadvertent typographical and clerical mistakes, serial number “2” was omitted in the Cause-Title. As a result, there is no respondent No. 2 in the accompanying writ petition, although there are

5 (five) respondents.

4. Having regard to the statements and averments made in this interlocutory application and considering the fact that the mistakes in the Cause-Title of the accompanying writ petition appear to be typographical one, the instant interlocutory application stands allowed.
