ORDER
Date : 09.06.2026
Mr. M. H. Rajbarbhuiyan, learned counsel for the petitioners, fairly submits that the writ petition has become infructuous, though he has filed an additional affidavit bringing on record the subsequent development as regards the claim for compensation for damage of their crops.
Mr. A. Bhattacharjee, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue and Disaster Department, and Mr. J. Handique, learned State Counsel, for respondents, are present.
Accordingly, writ petition stands closed on having been become infructuous.
Needless to observe that the petitioners are at liberty to approach the appropriate authority as regards the claim of compensation for damages of their crops as may be permissible under the law.
