O R D E R
Date : 05.06.2026.
Heard Mr. D. Ullah, learned counsel for the applicant. This application is filed against the eviction notice dated 18.05.2026, issued by the Assistant Revenue Officer, Diphu Revenue Circle, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), whereby the petitioner is sought to be effected from the land, involved in the connected writ petition being WP(C) No.1837/2026, wherein this Court by the order dated 27.03.2026, has granted interim protection by providing not to evict the petitioner from the land occupied by him and if the land possessed by the petitioner is required by the Government, the petitioner may be evicted therefrom by following the due procedure of law. Mr. J. Chutia, learned Senior Advocate cum Senior Standing Counsel, KAAC being assisted by Ms. V. Shohe, learned counsel for the respondent authorities, by placing the copy of the order dated 05.06.2026, submits that the eviction notice issued on 18.05.2026, has been withdrawn by the notice dated 01.06.2026. Perused the communication dated 05.06.2026, to the learned Senior Standing Counsel, KAAC from the Addl. Secretary, Land Revenue Department, KAAC, whereby it is informed that the impugned eviction notice dated 18.05.2026 has already been withdrawn by the order dated 01.06.2026. Thus the present interlocutory application has become infructuous. Accordingly, the same is dismissed being infructuous. The copy of the communication dated 05.06.2026, from the Addl. Secretary, Land Revenue Department, KAAC is kept on record, marking it by letter ‘X’.
