14.03.2026 Smt. Purnima Saikia/the appellant, is present in person. Mr. R. Goswami represents the Liberty Gen. Ins. Co. Ltd. along with Ms. Disha Biswas, Legal Officer. The original awarded amount was of Rs. 8,97,500/- and this appeal has now been settled for an additional amount of Rs. 2,00,000/-. The insurer shall deposit the additional amount before the Registry of this Court within 45 days from today, in which event there shall be no interest leviable. In case, the settlement amount is deposited after 45 days, statutory interest shall apply. Upon satisfaction of the settlement amount before the Registry, the same shall be released to the claimant upon proper identification. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
