Shri. Niranjan Sonowal, the claimant, is present in person. Ms. Disha Biswas, Legal Officer represents M/S Liberty General Insurance Co. Ltd. The original amount awarded as compensation by the Tribunal was Rs. 13,33,433/- with 9% interest per annum from the date of filing the claim petition. During the settlement, the parties agreed upon a total settlement amount of Rs. 12,00,000/-. Accordingly, the insurer shall deposit the settled amount of Rs. 12,00,000/- before the MACT, Golaghat, within a period of 45 days from today and the same shall be released to the claimant on proper identification. In case of a delay of more than 45 days from today in depositing the settle amount, the same shall carry statutory interest. The appeal is closed on settlement SD, if any shall be refunded upon the settlement amount being deposited before the Tribunal. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
