CHAMAN LAL Versus THE SECRETARY, HP STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION AND ANR

EX.P.-809 of 2026 01.10.2026 Present: Mr. Loveneesh Singh Thakur, Advocate, for the petitioner.

Mr. Vishwajeet Singh, Advocate, for respondent No.1.

Mr. Nalneesh, Advocate vice Mr. Harmender Singh Chandel, Advocate, for respondent No.2.

Careful perusal of the reply filed on behalf of the respondents reveals that total amount of arrears for the period, during which petitioner actually worked on contract basis in the Corporation, till the time he was brought on regular scales, was calculated at Rs. 8,55,455/-, out of which the first installment of Rs. 1,71,095/- was released to the petitioner on 30.09.2025.

Learned counsel representing respondent No. 2 states that second installment has also been released on 30.09.2026. He states that remaining three installments shall also be paid expeditiously to the petitioner in a phased manner.

Having taken note of the fact that two installments towards the arrears already stand released, this Court sees no reason to keep the petition alive and accordingly, the same is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that the remaining amount is paid expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from today.
